THE PROBLEM
HR is drowning. We did the math.
For every 100 employees, an HR department handles 47 leaves, 18 hires, hundreds of comp and policy decisions, and a regulatory landscape that updates every 90 days. The work doesn't end. The team can't scale.
HOW IT WORKS
From kickoff to autopilot.
In a day.
Three steps. Then the agent takes it from there.
STEP 01 · ~1 DAY
Switch from your old HRIS.
Move off Gusto, Workday, Rippling, BambooHR, Namely, Personio — whatever you have. We pull employees, comp records, org chart, leave balances, performance history, and documents. One click. Zero data loss.
Most teams switch end-of-day Friday. Live Monday morning.

Auto-handle FMLA + state PFML stacking

Auto-execute terminations
Always requires human approval
STEP 02 · ~30 MINUTES
Set your policy. One screen.
Tell the agent your approval thresholds, PTO rules, comp ranges, and human sign-off rules. Toggle what runs automatically and what comes to you. Edit anytime.
High-risk actions stay with you. The matrix is codified in code, not policy doc.
STEP 03 · ONGOING
The agent runs your HR.
Employees ask in Slack. Agent answers, files, schedules, and approves what falls within policy. You handle the Today queue — typically 30 minutes a day. Every action audit-logged.
Your CHRO does judgment. Everything else does itself.

THE COMPLIANCE ENGINE
The cases that
cost you money.
Federal employment law and all 50 state codes, kept current. Three real edge cases — and exactly what the agent does with each one.
Employee on FMLA also requests CA CFRA — stack or sequential?
Risk · $30K back leave + penaltyThe agent’s answer
Approve up to 24 weeks combined.
Eligible for both (14-month tenure, 1,400 hours). The CA leave stacks on top of federal FMLA. Anything ambiguous routes to your legal team for review.
Posting a $250K role across Colorado, New York, and Washington — no salary disclosure.
Risk · $10K per violation, per stateThe agent’s answer
Block the post. Add the right disclosure per state.
Three jurisdictions trigger pay transparency, each with different rules: salary range, bona fide hiring, benefits summary. The agent edits the post before it goes live.
New hire offer at $58K — exempt or non-exempt under California + federal rules?
Risk · $50K back wages + 30% penaltiesThe agent’s answer
Reclassify as non-exempt. Adjust the offer letter.
California requires exempt employees to earn at least 2× the state minimum wage. At $58K, this offer is below the threshold — overtime eligibility kicks in by law.

“Most of what landed on my desk was operational — leave, exempt classifications, multi-state filings, onboarding tasks. By week two, the agent was handling that lane. I started doing the role I was actually hired for.”

FAQ
Questions you're going to ask anyway.
Do we replace our current HRIS, or run alongside it?+
We replace it. MambaHR is the HRIS — system of record for employees, comp, leaves, performance, everything. We migrate your data from Gusto, Workday, Rippling, BambooHR, Namely, Personio, HiBob, or wherever it lives. Most teams switch over in a single day.
How is this different from a Slack bot or HRIS chatbot?+
Slack bots answer questions. MambaHR takes action. The agent reads the thread, checks the policy, files the form, updates records, notifies the manager, and logs the audit trail. It does the work, not the lookup.
What happens if the agent gets something wrong?+
Every action carries a status label. High-risk actions (terminations, RIF, separation agreements, comp changes above threshold) are always you. Lower-risk actions (PTO within policy, standard onboarding) are automated with full audit log. You can override anything. When the agent is uncertain, the card routes to you for sign-off.
How long does setup take?+
Most teams are running by end of day Friday and live Monday morning. Day 1: we pull your data from your old HRIS and you set policy on one screen. Day 2: the agent goes live. Some teams choose to start with one function (like leave) and add others over the first week — that's a trust pace, not a setup limitation.
What about compliance? Are we still on the hook?+
Legally, yes — you are always the employer. MambaHR runs on a curated employment-law engine covering federal regulations and all 50 state codes. Every compliance call cites its regulatory source. Edge cases route to human review by default — your CHRO (or external counsel) signs off before anything binding goes out.
Who owns the data?+
You do. We are a processor, not a controller. Data can be exported or deleted on request. We never train AI models on your data — contractually guaranteed.
